The amazing team at Kent Pallet Trucks are simply fantastic! Spadework is a small charity that provides care, support and meaningful opportunities to adults with learning and other disabilities. We desperately needed a number of new pallet trucks that could be used by our service users safely and help to keep our charity running during this global pandemic. The team at KPT really understood our needs and provided a service that was second to none, their corporate social responsibility was to be commended and they really did make a huge difference to the lives of our Trainees. Quick story, I’m a bed tech working for 2gether support solutions at the William Harvey hospital in Ashford. The bed team was tasked with replacing all 400 beds within the hospital with new ones and shipping the old ones out. Delivery of the new beds involved manual lifting them with 5 people as these arrived double stacked. The same goes for the old ones going out. I contacted Steve at Kent pallet trucks as I noticed they had what was called a pallet stacker. After a few emails and calls explaining that we wanted to unstack and re stack hospitals beds rather than pallets , it was agreed that Steve would come and visit myself and the bed team. Steve quickly saw what we wanted to use the stacker for and how he and Kent pallet trucks could help me and the team.the the hauk as we now call it arrived a few weeks after ordering and the same day we had training all Organised by Steve. The next day the hauk was put to use and wow what amazing peace of kit it is. It now take a minute to stack and Unstack a bed. This kit is not only taking less time but also less people and of course our poor backs. 2gether support solutions have now brought 3 of these peace’s of kit 1 for each hospital , along with staff training and service plans.
